Title
Sponsorship PROFILES IN CARING
Equitable
annually recognizes leadership in the essential
humanitarian work of nonprofits with the large memorial
shown to the left, the Ambassador of Caring Award.
This
is part of
Equitable's effort to help nonprofits
elevate public awareness of their programs. The
primary means by which this support is provided is
through title sponsorship of the TV program,
PROFILES IN CARING, which spotlights the
works of outstanding individuals and U.S.-based
nonprofit organizations doing good things here and
abroad.
These organizations include those which are
well known, such as March of Dimes, Shriner’s Hospitals,
Ronald McDonald House and the Special Olympics.
They also include dozens which are not as well known, such as The
Rose Education Foundation, which educates and feeds
disadvantaged children in Guatemala…the
Adopt-A-Native-Elder program, which provides food,
simple medicines, clothing, fabric and yarns to help
Elder Navajos on reservations live on the land in their
traditional lifestyle…and Globus Relief, which gathers
and distributes medical and humanitarian
supplies—usually overstocks of manufacturers and
hospitals—through 200 charities to those who need them
in the U.S. and abroad.

Commitment to
Stewardship
It may
be said that any company could have conceived a program
like GRANDgifts...that any company could have
heavily invested resources to develop a unique product
for a very special market...that any company could have
dedicated a Home Office Staff to paying these annual
gifts for years and years to come
with
the same care and compassion you would provide were you
here, doing it yourself.
But
they didn't.
We,
therefore, are particularly honored to be entrusted with
this most important responsibility of continuing your
stewardship.
